Meeting Code of Conduct
The conveners of the Reinventing Quality conference are committed to this event being conducted in an environment in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity. The conveners provide notice to all attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers, guests, or other participants of the conference that any unlawful discriminatory practices, including but not limited to discriminatory harassment, sexual harassment, threats, abuse, and sustained disruption of events are prohibited.
If a participant of the conference engages in prohibited behavior, the conveners reserve the right to take any action they deem appropriate, including but not limited to:
- Remove an individual from any conference activity without warning or refund;
- Prohibit an individual from attending future Reinventing Quality conference activities;
- Exclude an individual from representing a convening organization in future Reinventing Quality conference activities; and/or
- Exclude an individual from serving as a strand leader or speaker in future Reinventing Quality Conference activities.
Such sanctions may be applied regardless of whether or not the offender is a representative of a convening organization. Appropriate sanctions also will be taken toward any individual who knowingly makes a false allegation of harassment.
This policy against harassment is not intended to limit open discussion of the merits of particular work or issues presented at Reinventing Quality conference activities. It applies only to behavior at Reinventing Quality conference activities.
The conveners assume no liability or responsibility for the actions of any member or other activity participant and the conveners are not responsible for protecting the safety of members or participants in Reinventing Quality conference activities.
