Does AAIDD have a code of conduct for its conferences?
Yes, please read the AAIDD Code of Conduct Statement

Can I receive a certificate of attendance?
Yes, upon request. Contact after the conference.

Will I receive continuing education credits for attending the conference?
No. Continuing education credits are not offered this year.

What should I wear at the in-person conference?
Business casual is expected for educational sessions. We also recommend wearing comfortable shoes and dressing in layers.


Is the conference hybrid?
No. The conference is in-person only.

Will the sessions be recorded or transmitted live?

Is the Awards Ceremony going to be recorded or live-streamed?


Where is the conference being held? 
The Louisville Marriott Downtown, Louisville, KY.

Why should I stay at the conference hotel?
Staying at our official conference hotel helps AAIDD keeps registration fees low. Please only make your reservation using our customized link or by calling the hotel directly.


I just want to attend or present at one session; do I still have to register?
Yes, even if you are only coming to attend or present at just one session, you still need to pay the registration fee.

I am a speaker, do you have a discount for speakers?
No, we have a discounts for AAIDD members, students, self-advocates/family members, and retirees. If you are not a member and would like to become one, you may receive a discounted rate.

Are there daily or partial registration fees?

Do I have to be an AAIDD member to register at the conference?
No, anyone can register to attend the conference; however members receive a discounted registration rate. You can even become a member when you register to get the discounted member rate!

Do you have any registration discounts for large groups?
Yes. Groups of 10 or more can be registered at a10% discount. Contact for assistance.

We are a corporate member, do we get a discount?
Yes. Organizations with corporate memberships get a 20% discount on registration for employees. Contact for assistance.

Can I purchase the lunch tickets when I get to the meeting?
Maybe. Since we must guarantee the number of meals to the hotel, only a very limited number of tickets may be available at the registration desk. To guarantee your ticket, you should purchase it in advance.  If you have already registered and need to add a lunch ticket, contact for assistance.

I need an invoice for my registration or work or need to pay with a PO. What do I do?
We can help. Contact for assistance.

Can I pay by check?
Yes, checks (with registration materials) must arrive at our office by Wednesday, May 29, 2024 or be hand carried to the on-site registration desk at the conference.
