President/Chief Executive Officer

The Association for the Developmentally Disabled of Woodford County (ADDWC) is a small, non-profit agency providing quality, person-centered, individualized services for adults with intellectual disabilities. We offer community living options, vocational and life skills programs as well as advocacy for residents of Central Illinois.

Our Mission:

"To improve the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families of Woodford County and the surrounding areas."

Position Summary:

The President/CEO will provide effective, efficient, and innovative leadership. The President/CEO will assure that ADDWC is fulfilling its purpose as stated in the constitution and bylaws in a manner consistent with applicable laws and regulations, as well as in the best interest of employees, persons served, and the general public.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities/Traits:

For entry into this position, the individual must have clear, concise, and professional verbal and written communication skills. The CEO must be able to create and maintain service delivery with respect, patience, and integrity in a non-judgmental manner. The CEO must be able to work collaboratively, as well as take initiative and work independently. Also, the CEO must have working knowledge of OHS rules and regulations, the vocational rehabilitation processes and possess a clear understanding of developmental and other disabilities. At the very least, the CEO should be a person who is an effective communicator, compassionate, flexible, motivated, enthusiastic, and honest.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human services field required, Master's degree in human service field preferred
  • Experience in working with adults with disabilities or a related field
  • Possess knowledge of Illinois rules and regulations as they impact the Agency
  • Experience with fundraising
  • Several years of administrative responsibility including experience managing an agency budget
  • Valid Illinois driver's license, automobile insurance, and a good driving record
  • Ability to complete all required state and agency required training
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist high is preferred
