This is a highly responsible position that ensures the overall success of a professional Association including management of $30 million in annual revenues. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and execution of short and long-term strategies, managing resources in accordance with industry standards, and mitigating risks.
Job duties include planning and responsibility for total business operations, achievement of mission, and development and adherence to policies in conjunction with the Finance Committee and Board. Duties also include representation of the Association before governmental agencies and legislative bodies, the financial community, and the public at large. The position works under the direction of the Board of Directors and ensures that the Association achieves its mission to promote the interests of individuals with disabilities by acting as a public policy change agent, and to promote and serve the interests of community human service provider organizations. The position is housed in Tallahassee, FL.
The applicant must have at a minimum a Bachelor's degree and 5-10 years of professional experience in the areas of business, health care, social services, or government affairs. A Master's degree is preferable. Strong leadership skills are required including strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to achieve consensus amid diverse interests. Salary will be negotiated based on experience and background.
