Content Overview:
The NIH Toolbox Cognitive Battery was developed to provide an efficient way to assess domains of working memory, executive function, processing speed, episodic memory, and language in people ages 3 to 89 years. We have been carrying out research supported by NICHD to validate, and make accommodations where necessary, the battery for use in people with intellectual disability, with the ultimate goal of utilizing the tests as outcome measures in clinical trials. Dr. David Hessl will share progress on these goals, including data from people with fragile X syndrome, Down syndrome and other disabilities.
