AAIDD Makes Accepted Manuscripts Available for Early Access

August 1, 2019 [Silver Spring, MD]

AAIDD is delighted to announce that it has made manuscripts that have been accepted (but not yet copyedited or published) in its three journals, AJIDD, IDD, and Inclusion, available for early access on its website. Each month, recently accepted manuscripts will be added, and as the final version of the articles are published in an AAIDD journal, the accepted manuscripts will be removed from the site.

The Association is very pleased that it can provide early access to reports on the important research AAIDD has accepted for inclusion in its journals. Although these pre-copyedited, author versions of the articles are not the final version that will be officially produced in the journals, AAIDD believes that this early access to peer-reviewed findings will serve to more rapidly advance the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities.

IDD is edited by James R. Thompson, PhD, FAAIDD, of the University of Kansas.

Established in 2013, Inclusion is an online quarterly peer-reviewed journal that provides a multidisciplinary forum for the presentation and discussion of evidence-based interventions and strategies that promote the full inclusion of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in society.  Inclusion has been co-edited since its inception by Michael L. Wehmeyer, PhD, FAAIDD, and Karrie Shogren, PhD, FAAIDD of the University of Kansas; beginning with the first issue in 2020, the journal will be co-edited by Colleen Thoma, PhD, FAAIDD, and LaRon Scott, EdD, of Virginia Commonwealth University.
