Joe Shapiro, the author of No Pity: People With Disabilities Forging a New Civil Rights Movement and an NPR Investigative Correspondent, will talk about some of his coverage of disability civil rights issues. He will play parts of some of his radio stories—on disability rights history, about the epidemic of sexual assault of people with intellectual disabilities and about the way health care was denied to people with disabilities during the coronavirus pandemic.
