STATEMENT OF GOALS

As a passionate connector of people and ideas, I seek to collaborate with colleagues to champion a culture of belonging that fosters innovation and service excellence. If privileged to serve in the role of Vice President of AAIDD, I will strive to:

  • Energetically engage members so they can actively contribute their expertise and passion to meet our mission and achieve association goals by using knowledge and skills developed during my 25+ years of service at the state, regional, and national levels of AAIDD as well as through leadership roles at IDD provider agencies.
  • Support the AAIDD Board of Directors and conference planning committees with the development of cutting-edge educational forums, conferences, and resources that promote research, effective practices, and universal human rights for people with IDD.
  • Promote an even greater sense of community that values diverse cultures, disciplines, experiences, and perspectives, so AAIDD excels as the “go-to” professional home for all members.
  • Seek opportunities to collaborate with, share, and mentor the next generation of leaders who will keep AAIDD vibrant through the coming years.
