The American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD) cancelled its scheduled 2020 Annual Meeting and Conference in response to the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic; this this appears to be the first time in the organization’s 144-year history that its annual meeting was cancelled.

AAIDD acknowledges and thanks the presenters, the planning and local arrangements committees, the panel reviewers, staff, and volunteers for all their efforts in preparing for this meeting. While the conference itself did not take place, AAIDD intends to showcase, using electronic vehicles throughout the year, some of the presentations that would have been made in-person at this event.

AAIDD gratefully recognizes the chair of the 2020 conference planning committee for his leadership concerning this conference: Leonard J. Abbeduto, PhD, FAAIDD, President-elect of the AAIDD Board of Directors and Director, MIND Institute and Tsakopoulous-Vismara Endowed Chair, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, School of Medicine, University of California, Davis, and President-elect of the AAIDD Board of Directors.
Below is a document providing a listing of all the sessions that were accepted for the 2020 AAIDD Annual Meeting and Conference, Technology as a Tool to Enhance Services, Support, and Health Equity, scheduled for June 1–4, 2020 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
