Policy Aide:

Senator Bob Casey, Chairman of the Senate Special Committee on Aging, is seeking a Policy Aide to focus on disability policy issues, including disability employment, education, physical and mental health, financial security, civil rights, law enforcement, voting rights, emergency preparedness and other issues.

This individual will interact with constituents and stakeholders, conduct research related to policy development, assist with the development of legislation, letters, reports, hearings and other policy products, as well as other duties as assigned. The Policy Aide will be an integral part of the Committee’s policy teams and will also work with the personal office to execute projects.

Strong written and oral communication skills, a can-do attitude, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects are required. The ideal candidate is a team-oriented problem solver who consistently exercises excellent judgment and can also work independently when necessary. Demonstrated experience in relevant policy issues is preferred. Pennsylvania ties always a plus.
