Pathlight is launching a search for a leader who can cultivate, support, and inspire a united high-performing team. The newly created position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) requires a leader with the temperament and skills to bring passion, vision, direction, business discipline and inspiration to the role. The selected person must be committed to creating an engaging, respectful, and inclusive work environment.

Pathlight is a pioneering organization serving people in Western Massachusetts with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

The COO will provide key leadership for the overall strategic and operational accountability for all of Pathlight’s multi-faceted service delivery programs and related administrative programs.

Additionally, the COO will provide leadership to the strategic planning process and implement new programmatic strategic initiatives. As a key member of the executive leadership team, they will provide direction and supervision to division Vice Presidents.

The successful candidate will:
Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in in Business, Public Administration, or a related field, have broad knowledge in the discipline of human or social services or business administration involving an advanced theoretical knowledge within a specialized field. Master’s degree preferred.

Have over ten years of senior managerial and supervisory level experience in the field of developmental disabilities. They will have a career history of progressive responsibility including leadership experience across multiple teams and projects.

The candidate we seek will have the unique opportunity to bring teams together with their vision of merging and implementing systems that will improve the organizations effectiveness. This will require a leader who is highly competent in the field of people and systems leadership.

Above all, the executive will have experience shaping a culture that embodies the guiding values and mission of Pathlight.
