Creative Living Options (CLO) was incorporated in 2001 as a non-profit 501c(3) corporation intended to provide services for persons with developmental disabilities in the Sacramento (California) area.
Currently, CLO provides 24/7 supported living to over thirty individual adults employing over 100 staff to accomplish this work. The commitment of CLO is to provide individuals the opportunity to create an individual and personalized lifestyle. This mission is based on the belief that every person has a fundamental right to live in a home of their choice that they control by lease or ownership.
The outcome of this commitment is that each person served will enjoy the freedoms, choices and opportunities that non-disabled individuals in their communities have. This vision is to serve these individuals so that they may fulfill their hopes, dreams and personal goals, be participating, productive members of their communities, remain close to their loved ones and families, and develop and retain truly meaningful, caring relationships.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) champions the CLO mission and vision, charts the direction, and drives the results of the organization. They manage the organization, steward its resources, and provide accountability of CLO to its diverse constituents.
The CEO reports to the Board of Directors of CLO, and keeps them fully informed in a timely fashion of the conditions and operations of the organization. The CEO is the “vision leader” who reflects passion and advocacy for the mission, anticipates challenges and brings solutions, and serves as the chief spokesperson for the agency cultivating positive professional relationships with families, community partners and other stakeholders important to the success of CLO.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree highly desirable.
- Five or more years of progressively responsible management experience in directing services for persons with developmental (or related) disabilities.
- Familiarity with and understanding of California’s Lanterman Act and the role of the Regional Centers highly desirable.
The projected compensation range will be competitive for the responsibilities required and the background of the selected candidate.
