It is difficult to overstate the impact of this pandemic. We have been forced to reconsider priorities with new limits on resources. This is a time for a leader with a record of accomplishments through adversity. I am a civil servant in a rural community, yet my involvement in state-wide workgroups and international delegations has allowed me to promote research and develop policies that improve quality of life on a broader scale.

If elected, a main goal would be rebuilding membership and expanding into underserved areas.

Related objectives include:

  1. Developing new programs that benefit individuals at various professional and academic levels to strengthen our association;
  2. Increasing leadership opportunities within the association to create more space for diversity;
  3. Enhancing accessibility by modernizing operations to reach more people in this digital age.

Honoring our 145-year-old past by representing the concerns of current members will ensure our mission continues into the future.
