Critical Issues in Community Living— Supporting High Expectations and Workforce Investment

Content Overview:

Community Living and Participation for People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, edited by Amy Hewitt, PhD, and Kelly Nye-Lengerman, PhD, is an exploration of how to create the ideal conditions to facilitate community living and participation for people with IDD.  The book examines critical challenges and opportunities around meaningful community inclusion for adults. This webinar will focus on two critical issues in the book: investments in the direct support workforce and the importance of high expectations as it relates to outcomes in education and employment.
