As people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities are welcomed into their communities and are experiencing self-determination; and as more people with developmental disabilities are living to old age, the need to think about advance care planning, including wishes about healthcare, advance directives and power of attorneys increases. "Won't you be my Neighbor?" And Other Community Data Sing-Alongs Beth Mathis, CQL
We'll stroll through the neighborhood and take a peak inside CQL's Community Life® LENS exercise. We'll examine quantitative data and explore the community factors which give us a sense of belonging. Using databases, information sets and personal impressions, we will do several energizing hands-on activities and explore how to use this process in our own organizations to promote change and create a real sense of community and social capital.
Continuing Education Credits will be given by AAIDD for all Workshops.
